We found Nikola through a simple google search for wedding planners in Prague. After perusing through the Julie May website, looking through all the beautiful past weddings and reading through the testimonials, we were sold on having our wedding planned by Nikola/Julie May Weddings.
Throughout the entire wedding planning process, Nikola was so kind, respectful, and relaxed. She guided us through making payments to vendors overseas, helped us create the perfect vision/mood board, talked us through each vendor option, and reminded us when payments were due. We mostly communicated through text and we had at least 4 video calls to go through details more in depth.
When the wedding week finally arrived, we had a pre-wedding meeting to fully go over details and then another meeting the day before the wedding at the actual venue location where we talked through all the nitty gritty.
The close relationship Nikola has with each vendor (DJ, flowers, decoration, venue, catering, photographers, videographers) truly made the experience unforgettable. They were incredible artists, that were professional and kind and the quality of their work is outstanding. I truly believe that the relationships that Nikola has fostered with these vendors made the entire experience seamless.
Nikola herself has an incredible eye for detail, always prepared for any situation that arises, and again so calm and relaxed throughout the entire process especially the day of the wedding.Her passion for her work is unmatched and her high energy and quality of work speak for themselves - our guests are still talking about how wonderful our wedding was! And the entire time, Nikola was balancing a newborn and multiple weddings all at the same time!

Nikola was an excellent wedding planner for us. She was very thorough and detailed in her organisation and helped us navigate everything that is to think about for a wedding. We could rely on her for all questions, topics and last minute requests. She almost came straight from the hospital to help with our wedding! Don't be scared if it's bilingual, she definitely knows how to handle guest with different cultures and languages. My husband and I had the pleasure to work with Nikola, from Julie May Weddings. We cannot thank her enough, she was and still continues to be, so supportive and helpful throughout this entire journey. As many weddings in the last couple of years, we had to postpone. Nikola is a very caring person who likes beautiful things, places, flowers, people, atmosphere - actually everything around the weddings. Having a planner at (and before) your wedding is definitely suitable for anyone who is lost in the shuffle of everything that needs to be arranged and also doesn't want to keep the family members busy. Svatbu jsme domlouvali cca půl roku dopředu a zpětně si nedovedeme představit veškeré zařizování bez koordinátorky. Byla nám neustále k dispozici a vše do sebe krásně zapadalo. Myslela i na různé detaily, které dělají svatbu jedinečnou. Dokázala si i poradit s náročnou situací, kvůli které jsme svatbu museli o 2 měsíce posunout.
V den svatby zajistila, aby vše proběhlo jak má a my si užili „náš den“ bez jakýchkoliv starostí a stresů.
We hired Nikola to help finish the organisation of our wedding in Czech and run it on the day. We’d already chosen and engaged the majority of the suppliers directly, but with covid forcing a change of date and other disruptions we needed the assistance to take the load off us, especially as all of the guests were travelling to the venue, mostly from the UK and Slovakia.
We contacted a number of wedding agencies and organisers. Nikola was the most flexible of everyone we spoke to and was happy to pick-up everything we’d organised rather than trying to re-start the whole process. She filled the gaps on missing suppliers and took over sorting the details with the venue and the other suppliers as we neared the event. This allowed us to concentrate on communicating with the changing numbers of guests as covid travel and quarantine difficulties meant the numbers were in constant flux right up to the day itself.
We only needed to meet with Nikola once, face to face, before travelling out for the wedding, with the rest of the communication on video/voice calls and emails. She kept us regularly updated and chased us for information, supplier deposits etc. as needed. She also produced a detailed plan for the weekend, found other items for the weekend and translated the English speeches .
On the weekend itself she, and her assistant, got everything ready and co-ordinated with all the suppliers which allowed us to concentrate on the wedding and our guests. She unobtrusively co-ordinated everything from the Friday night through to the early hours of Sunday morning. It was the perfect weekend and the perfect wedding.
We can highly recommend Nikola for everything she did for us all the way up to and including the wedding day and reception.
Spolupráce s Nikčou byla od prvního dne velmi srdečná a profesionální zároveň. Po první schůzce nám bylo jasné, že Nikča bude nedílnou součástí našeho dne D. Velmi si vážíme kolik energie Nikča dala do příprav naší svatby. Velmi pečlivě a svědomitě zpracovala Mood board, který byl středobodem pro komunikaci s veškerými dodavateli. Její důslednou přípravou a rychlou komunikací si získala naši důvěru a přípravy se tak staly zábavou a nedílnou součástí svatby.
Díky koordinaci během celého dne, jsme se nemuseli vůbec o nic starat a mohli si užít náš den podle našich představ. Velmi oceňujeme práci Nikči, díky ni si i rodina mohla všechno užít s námi a nemuseli mít na starosti provozní věci, organizaci a časový harmonogram.

Nikča provedla hosty naší svatbu na zámku Bon Repos velmi ladnou cestou. Je zapotřebí, aby na svatbě byl člověk, který bude za vše 100% zodpovědný a veškeré povinnosti zajistí za nevěstu. Nevěsta má tak čas vše spokojeně prožít a svatební moment si vychutnat každým "coulem". Nikča pro mou svatbu byla přesně tou osobou, kterou výše prezentuji. Ráda bych touto recenzí Nikču doporučila i ostatním. Její organizační schopnosti a pořádek je opravdu jedinečný. Svatba je den plný lásky, a proto jsem chtěla najít odborníka, který je nejen profesionální, ale i srdečný. Někoho, pro koho svatba není jen business, ale společně s vámi svatební den prožívá naplno a láskyplně. Nikča je velmi milý člověk s dobrým srdcem a proto vím, že jsem neudělala při výběru své pravé (i levé) ruky chybu.

The Case … groom from Czech Republic, bride from Kazakhstan, both living and working in Central Asia… Can you imagine the paper work in order to get legally married? 🙂 Honestly, there was a point in time we both felt there is practically no way to make it happen. Until I spoke to a friend of mine (good Czech guy Majra living in Indonesia), who has managed to arrange all of his wedding thanks to tremendous help of Nikola and her team. We were a bit under timing pressure making sure all the documents, apostilles, translations etc. meet legal requirements of Czech government while getting visa for the bride to be actually able to come to the Czech Republic for wedding ceremony. I was in search of a way to surprise my girlfriend at the time by asking her to Marry me in Prague, only one problem, I had never been, nor do I know my way around or speak the local language. The service was totally custom here, no trying to fit my need in packages that they wanted, they listened to my needs and together came up a solid plan that fit the budget despite the time difference from Japan and limited communication because I still had to keep the secret! The day of, we walked into our favorite thing to do, an escape room filled with pictures of us after every puzzle as friends and lovers and exited engaged to be wedded. The package included photography in which they were able to access the best hidden spots to capture the moment. Everything was taken care of from clean up, to last second requests! With my Indonesian fiancé we decided to have a wedding in Czech to avoid any religious complications of getting married in Indonesia. We got married in Prague August 2017 and with great help we got our dream wedding. We are a young couple from Norway and Kurdistan with family spread all around the world and we were looking for a location to have our wedding. After some research, Prague the most beautiful city in Europe was our first choice. It was a stressed situation in the beginning feeling everything was so far away, but as soon as we had our first meeting in Prague everything was falling in place. Nikola was an angel through our process, the bride was high demanding and had doubt about how she wanted things. Nikola followed her through the whole process and always made her feel calm. I think it was 7 hair - trails before the bride was perfectly satisfied. The planning was always very good and we could concentrate on the things that matter. At the wedding day Nikola was by the bride's side from the early morning until late at night, always ready to find a solution if something happened. This was really important for us. In the end of this feedback we want to thank Nikola for being such a nice and caring person. You did absolutely everything you could at all times and it was easy to see that you love your job. Nikola, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for every thing you’ve done and for all effort you put into this job to make it happen. I remember how desperate I was to find someone able to help me. I was ripped of last year and I found out that I didn’t have the place to get married nor the hotel booked. Knowing that, you put all your efforts to solve this problems and some others issues and you were the one that made it happen. We know you gave your best. Not only that, You were always prepared to give me any kind of support and feedback before, during and after the wedding. You could handle a very crazy Brazilian group for 3 days and I just had complements about everything. It's hard to put into words just how wonderful Nikola is and how great she is at her job. Firstly, she had to take over our wedding planning halfway through as our original wedding coordinator left the company. She was very quick to get up to speed on our plans and vision for our wedding day. In fact, she went beyond any expectations we had. You can tell Nikola cares a lot about the people she works with. She is professional, compassionate, caring and considerate. Her communication is of the highest level, and by the time our wedding day came, it felt like we had another friend attending. I would recommend Nikola to anyone. She made our day so effortless and assisted in any way she could. Deciding to have a wedding in another country where you don't speak the language can seem a little daunting at times but Nikola made it so worry-free which meant myself, family and friends could enjoy every minute of the day.
In the beginning, I didn´t think about hiring a wedding coordinator because I felt that I can do everything by myself. But fate has brought us together and I cannot be more grateful.
